To connect parents and children with one another and with the Bible every week in every congregation and every night in every home.
Bible Song Method
Bible Song sets out to connect the Sunday teachings to home and the home to worship.
Bible Song starts by assisting children in understanding key Bible stories through the use of singing, art and signing, on Sunday. Next, church is connected to home when families undertake the nightly "Home Huddle". Finally, the Bible Song attendees are regularly invited to lead worship where they teach the whole congregation through song, sign language, Reader's Theatre, and art.
Vision of the MLCC Bible Song Team
Through the Bible Song initiative we expect to see:
- Children learning key Scriptures in a variety of fun ways.
- Children that are excited about attending weekly worship.
- Children that are excited about sharing what they have learnt and created during worship.
- Children growing in confidence through team work and performance.
- Increased discussion within families of God's word.
